The Pininfarina Spider underwent a substantial redesign in the middle of 1985 to incorporate many modern improvements, the most noteworthy of which were larger brakes and rack-and-pinion steering, the first time ever offered in a Fiat or Pininfarina Spider. There are dozens of other small differences as well. As the current owner of two of these rare cars and past owner of another, I'll photograph and list all of the known differences between the 1985.5 Spider and previous (1983-1985) Pininfarina Spiders. Unfortunately, at the time I'm creating this webpage, the weather is too cold and unfavorable to consider taking the Spider outside to photograph these differences.
