Zagatos are such wonderful all-around cars. Rare, beautiful, with modern(ish) interiors, a 2-liter twin-cam engine, Bosch L-Jetronic fuel injection, 5-speed transaxle, front-wheel-drive, power steering, hardtop AND softtop, great handling, easy to drive, comfortable, technologically advanced, AND sometimes the air conditioning even works! So when I saw this one come up for sale at a reasonable price, I decided to take it on. The clutch needed work, and the front bumper and hood were bent a bit from meeting a pole at some point. The body shop I bought the car from ended up with the car when the owner decided not to pay to have them finish it. But considering my experience and parts-sourcing abilities with these cars, our situation is a bit different than that of the body shop. The interior on this blue Zag is nearly perfect, and the mechanical issues are no great challenge. There are a few projects that must take precedent over this one, but then it will get our attention and be returned to its former glory.
